Union Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Development of North-eastern Region( DoNER), G. Kishan Reddy said that all the records of the freedom fighters will be saved in a digital format as a mark of India’s 75 years of Independence during his visit to the National Archives of India.

There are more than 64 thousand volumes and around 18 crore pages in the Archives’, these all he said will be digitized and would require a time frame of about 1 year.

Moreover, the centre is constructing the Central Vista project and extra care needs to be taken to preserve and safely digitise these records.
